Liberation Portraits
(2020-2025)For the past five years, Ginzburg has been documenting queer, trans, and gender-nonconforming people at marches, rallies, and Pride gatherings across the United States. The resulting series of over 100 portraits presents LGBTQIA+ individuals in straightforward yet intentional compositions that embody visibility, defiance, and authenticity.
Together, they form a living archive, a record of community at the threshold of profound political and cultural shifts. As queer and trans lives face renewed threats of legislative erasure and structural violence, these images hold space as both witness and counter-narrative, preserving a lineage of activism and radical presence within spaces of public dissent.
